Calgary Election Super Hero Winner
$500 was awarded to Dandi and the Lady (and the Coalition for a Healthy Calgary) who were voted in as the winner of the Arusha Superhero Contest. Over 300 people voted with a tight race between Anti-Sprawl Man, Transportus, and Red Tape Power Suitor.
40 people gathered at the Arusha Activist Happy Hour on Friday to talk about election issues raised by the Superhero contest. Ward 8 Alderman Madeleine King presented the cheque to the winners and praised Arusha as leaders in creativity, inspiring Calgarians to become more involved. |
