With your help we can build a vision and action plan to make Canadian cities healthy and exciting places to live, work and play. The campaign builds on the city-focused initiatives that are already taking place across the country to strengthen and mobilize our collective efforts to enable the change we need.

There have already been 40 We Are Cities roundtables from coast to coast and you can connect your work to this movement. In Alberta, stakeholders include Imagine Calgary, The Arusha Centre, Public Interest Alberta and Sustainable Calgary.

If you work in a community of approx 10,000 people or more and are passionate to discuss how specific issues connect to one another, consider hosting your own We Are Cities Roundtable.

You can get an excellent overview by watching the video at: and reviewing the Roundtable Toolkit.

Roundtables include the following:

  • Use of We Are Cities Toolkit

  • Phone training meeting with Gerald Wheatley, Alberta Convenor

  • Up to 25 participants can be included in a roundtable

  • 2.5 hr duration

  • $100 for honorariums, supplies, venue or refreshments

  • Access to NationBuilder rsvp and IdeaScale crowdsourcing software

Deadline for roundtables to take place: June 15, 2015
