Vehicle for Change Fundraiser – April 19th
TWV is a mission driven organization that creates opportunities for young people to learn and practice lessons in leadership, health and wellness, self esteem, achievement, and environmental stewardship through their participation in bicycle education programs and expeditions.
Tickets are $25 – Get them in advance at twowheelview.org or buy them at the door.
Bike to Work Day – May 3rd
Bike to Work Day Calgary celebrates and promotes cycling as a healthy, convenient, efficient, low-cost and socially responsible means of transportation which contributes to a reduction of inner city traffic congestion and pollution.
Seven “Energy Pit Stop Stations” will be set up between 6:00 and 9:00am where you can get your bike checked free of charge by professional bike mechanics to ensure your ride is in good shape. You can grab a quick refreshment as well.
A free pancake breakfast will be served on the morning of the event to the first 500 Bike to Work Day participants that arrive at Eau Claire Market between 6:30 am and 9:00 am.
