 Calgary Dollars Potluck-Market this week!
C$ logoWe welcome you and your friends / loved ones to join us at the February 10th potluck.
This month’s theme is:

I (heart) Calgary Dollars

Bring a shirt to silk screen to show the world that you love C$, or buy a gently used one from us for C$5. You will have the opportunity to make some wearable art for yourself or your sweetheart in the workshop in the slate room (off to the right side of the hearth room). Those homemade gifts are always the most appreciated and environmentally friendly.

As always, the potluck-market will feature great offerings from our vendors.

Bring your friend, family member, sweetheart or come by yourself.

Don’t forget a dish for 6 (preferably a RED food or drink this month – due to allergies no artificial dye please).

Carsharing in Greater Forest Lawn
Greater Forest Lawn Community Carsharing is a project of the Arusha Centre, in partnership with Calgary Learning Village Collaborative. GFL Community Carsharing provides access to reliable vehicles at low hourly rates for families, individuals and organizations in the communities of Greater Forest Lawn.

The goals of the project are to help overcome transportation barriers, improve access to services and activities, and raise awareness of the benefits of environmentally sustainable transportation alternatives.

Imagine the freedom… use a vehicle just when you need one and pay only $2.50/hour & .25 cents/km – including gas, insurance and maintenance! Carsharing membership can help you get your groceries home, see your doctor regularly, or take the kids to hockey practice. Joining is easy, call us at 403-305-3947 for more information.

Join together with community organizations who are deeply concerned and want to take action on the government’s plan to cut $2 billion from the upcoming budget.

We need people to raise their voices throughout Alberta about the importance of public services and the need to strengthen, not shred, the fabric of our communities.

Help mobilize your community by attending one of the 22 free town hall events open to the public across Alberta.

Thank you to Calgary Arts Development for helping us move social justice forward through creativity and technology, including this newsletter and our new websites.
